Descendants of James A. McGAFFIN / MEGAFFIN

James McGAFFIN (1789-1859) and Elizabeth WATSON (1796-1836) where married in 1816 in County Armagh, Ireland. They had at least five children before Elizabeth passed away. James then married Sarah LONG (1809-1892) with whom he had at least two more children before they chose to emigrated to Upper Canada in 1840. The settled in Toronto Township, Peel County where another seven children where born.
Their son Alexander moved up to Brant Township, Bruce county about 1863 where he married maaried Elizabeth SNAITH in 1865. They farmed on Lot 12, Con 11 of Brant Twp near the hamlet of Eden Grove, Bruce County. Alexander and Elizabeth had at least eight children that I am aware of.
